Pictures from Quakertown, PA on 07/25/2005

The EPRY has purchased some old GE locomotives to add power to some of its operations. One of these locomotives,
the former SP 5114, has been assigned to the North Penn operations, which are from Telford to Quakertown.
The SP 5114 is a B23-7 and is the last numbered unit in the class (5100-5114) that SP putchased back in 1980.
Here is a page with more info: SP B23-7.
Here's a pic from 1991: SP 5114.
Here's a pic of SP 5114 in a deadline.
Here are two more pictures: First and Second.

I love this little section of trackage. EPRY had reversed the crossover for better switching of Quakertown. Then they again needed to access the tracks north of here on the former Northbound main, so they put in the little shoofly.

Ironic that a Pennsylvania bank was the owner, now the locomotive is in Pennsylvania.
